REC & VEEC Forms and Paperwork

REC assignment forms

RECs can be claimed for eligible solar hot water and heat pumps, solar PV systems and small wind generation units. Visit our REC pages for information.

The rights to create Renewable Energy Certificates can only be assigned once. In order to claim Renewable Energy Certificates through Green Energy Trading, a REC assignment form must be completed and signed by the system owner. Proof of installation is also required. If payment for the RECs is to be made to a business please issue an invoice to Green Energy Trading for the REC value + GST. See the Checklist for assigning RECs below to ensure we have all the information required to create your Renewable Energy Certificates.

VEEC assignment forms

Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates can be claimed for a number of activities, visit our VEECs page for information.

Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs) are able to be created for installers as well as individuals. Please complete the relevant VEEC assignment form below and submit to Green Energy Trading together with proof of installation, certificate of compliance, declaration of decommissioning and an invoice to Green Energy Trading for the amount of VEECs + GST where payment is to a business. Statutory Declarations for for Commercial Heat Pumps and Solar Water Heaters

The government has introduced tighter requirements for RECs for Commercial Heat Pumps and Solar Water Heaters with a capacity greater than 700L. Both the customer and the installer must now sign statutory declarations. Here are two suggested templates for the statutory declarations to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Statutory Declarations Act 1959.
