ORER announces SGU registration fee increase

The Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator (ORER) has announced the eagerly anticipated increase in the registration fee for small-scale technology certificates (STCs) for small generation units (SGU).

As part of the 2011/12 budget, regulations have been made to increase the registration fee for small-scale PV, wind and hydro certificates from 8 cents to 47 cents from 17 October 2011.

There will be no changes to registration fees for large-scale generation certificates (LGCs) and STCs for solar and heat pump hot water systems.
