The Green Energy Group of Companies was established in late 2007 to provide services to sustainable energy businesses and other stakeholders dealing with emerging environmental markets and other government programs supporting renewable energy, energy efficiency and emission reductions.

Sustainable energy will feature much more strongly in our energy mix including significant expansion of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
There are two active businesses that form part of the Green Energy Group – Green Energy Trading (GET) and Green Energy Markets (GEM). GET is an independent aggregator of renewable energy and energy efficiency certificates and GEM provide research, analysis and advisory services on environmental markets and the sustainable energy industry. The Group has monthly sales of more than $8 million and a staff of 24 located in Hawthorn.
This is a new position working across both business activities which has been created due to extraordinary and continuing growth and change in the environmental markets area driven by commonwealth and state government policies.
As Manager Environmental Markets your primary responsibility will be to manage GET’s trading portfolio and to work with commercial clients to purchase and sell certificates and to assist in commercial risk minimisation. You will also be responsible for developing materials for regular workshops and seminars, securing and implementing consultancy projects and keeping up to date with the ever changing policy developments in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors.
You will report to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for developing and monitoring risk management approaches for GET and their clients, and you will lead the research and advisory team for GEM. You will also have a passion for the future of the renewables sector and ideally you will have had commercial experience within this sector and can demonstrate an understanding of the renewable energy markets. Your analytical side will be involved in researching, developing presentation materials and managing relationships with partners, clients and key stakeholders while keeping informed of industry and policy developments.
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate: Experience / knowledge of the renewable energy industry Minimum 5 years commercial experience Commercial acumen and strong analytical skills Strong contractual negotiation skills, demonstrate capacity to develop and manage relationships to ensure outcomes are achieved Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated capacity to work both autonomously and within the team environment; use initiative, solve problems through analytical thinking & make decisions within a constructive environment
