Staff involvement at Fitzroy Primary School

We are proud to be associated with and very much enjoy our visits to Fitzroy Primary School.  Staff volunteer to assist in the classrooms and help the children with their studies.  The scheme is organised through the Ardoch Youth Foundation.

Green Energy Trading cares about staff and community welfare.  We are committed to provide  ‘local’ and ‘meaningful’ assistance as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility.  Above all, we enjoy making a difference to the lives of the young children at the school.

The School

Fitzroy Primary School is an inner city school that was established in 1855. The school has a long and proud history of catering for local families and the wider community.

Fitzroy Primary School is focused on providing a stimulating and high quality learning environment that engages students and caters for a range of learning styles. The school's focus is in the development of Literacy and Numeracy skills but also provide quality programs in all curriculum areas.

Fitzroy Primary School places great value on students developing personal responsibility and community responsibility in their approach to school life. Students play an important role in the school through their involvement in our student leadership groups.  The school believes in strong partnerships with families and the local community.

Ardoch Youth Foundation is a not for profit organisation that works nationally to make education a reality for children and young people. Through Ardoch ‘Green Energy Trading’ has connected with a local school to provide employee volunteer support and help realise every child’s potential to fully participate in education.

Ardoch Youth Foundation links schools, corporate organisations and communities, generating resources to support and facilitate projects that assist young people and their families, including those experiencing disadvantage, to be in school. Ardoch believes that education provides the means for creating options and choices in life.

Mother's Day Classic

Green Energy Trading was proud to be involved in the Mother’s Day Classic on 13 May 2012. Each year, the Mother’s Day Classic seeks to raise money for National Breast Cancer Foundation research programs and awareness of breast cancer in the community.

In our first year participating in the event, Green Energy Trading was delighted to be awarded ‘Runner up’ in the ‘2012 Largest corporate team, Small company category.’
