Ric Brazzale BComm, MBA - Director

Ric Brazzale is the Director of Green Energy Trading and has more than 25 years experience in the energy sector. Over the last 10 years, Ric was the Executive Director of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy, BCSE, (now the Clean Energy Council) and in this role he was the leading advocate of sustainable energy. During this time Ric was actively involved in the development and implementation of a broad range of solar energy and energy efficiency policies and programs, including the government’s initial REC advisory committee. Prior to joining the BCSE Ric worked in a number of business development and finance roles with West Coast Energy, Fletcher Challenge Energy, John Holland and Woodside Petroleum.

Milton Walters - General Manager

Milton comes to Green Energy Trading after operating his own consulting company over the last 15 years. He has worked globally with major companies across many market segments assisting with their go to market strategy, business development, leadership and major account planning. In recent years he has had significant involvement taking corporate clients, eg N.A.B. and Australia Post, on indigenous experiences in the Australian landscape which are designed to assist the reconciliation process and empower indigenous people.

Miriam Butcher – Systems and Compliance Manager

Miriam is responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements set by the Office of Renewable Energy Regulator as well as developing and implementing new internal systems. With a background in photography, she spent 4 years working in labs both here and in New Zealand. Miriam began her career in the renewable energy industry at the Business Council for Sustainable Energy, BCSE (now the Clean Energy Council).

Emily Perin - Finance Manager

Emily is responsible for finance and accounts at Green Energy Trading and brings more than 10 years of industry experience to the company. Before joining the team, Emily spent 6 years at the BCSE working in various departments including accounts, membership, events and office management. Prior to working at the BCSE, she was an administrator for the renewable energy company Energy Developments Ltd.

Nick Peters – Trades and Markets Manager

Nick supervises the markets, policy and trading divisions of the company and has gained unprecedented knowledge and first-hand experience of trading in RECs. Nick also plays a vital role in writing and delivering the market-leading REC Review, a subscription based service offered by renewable energy consultancy Green Energy Markets. In addition to his time at Green Energy Group, Nick works as a Research and Policy Analyst with the Voluntary Carbon Markets Association – a non-for-profit organisation which is the leading voice for the voluntary carbon market in Australia.

Sarah Morton BSc (Hons), MPH, MBBS – Industry Consultant, Green Energy Markets

Sarah is an energy and greenhouse consultant, specialising in energy efficiency, renewable power generation and solar energy. Sarah has worked on numerous advisory projects for government, the private and public sectors. Prior to this, she worked for Carbon Market Economics and the Clean Energy Council/Business Council for Sustainable Energy as an energy and greenhouse analyst on policy, advocacy, research and industry development. Before the BCSE Sarah was a medical officer and project manager and taught curriculum development roles in the health and tertiary education sectors.
