REC prices

The REC price can be very volatile and is affected by many factors. But much like an other commodity, the biggest impact on price fluctuation comes down to the outlook of buyers and sellers at any point in time, or in other words their expectations of whether future prices are likely to rise or fall. Green Energy Trading are offering the following prices:

REC price

$31 per REC for Solar Credits (eligible PV, small wind and hydro).
$30 for all other RECs including solar water heater RECs.

VEEC price

$8 per VEEC for forms combining RECs.
$7 per VEEC for forms with VEECs only.

Claiming RECs

To determine the number of RECs you are eligible for visit our handy online Calculators page. Assignment forms can be found on our Paperwork page. The forms can be completed electronically, however they need to be printed and signed by the customer and accompanied by a proof of installation (certificate of compliance or customer invoice with the installation address).

Following to the successful implementation of our REC Price Guarantee, we will no longer be giving clients one week’s notice before a price decrease. If you require stability regarding REC prices, please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss this option further.
